Thanksgiving Hope

I wake each day “with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving” (Kahlil Gibran)…for another day of living!  I love this morning mantra!  It puts everything in perspective from the first waking moment. In this season of Thanksgiving, and in anticipation of the season of Advent Longing which is upon us as Winter begins, I offer this reflection . . . a way to enter into a new day of loving, of living gratitude and hope in this poignant time of our planetary life.

In this moment I tune in to what IS — contentment, safety, satisfaction. I tune into my breath, life, a body that can move, family, shelter, food.

I am grateful.

In this moment I am embraced by the Love which loves me, by the One who is loving me, loving our world, in every moment, unconditionally.

That One is breathing me in this moment. The One who is alive in me, is alive in all beings.

I am grateful.

I remain in stillness, in the clarity of this moment, and tune in to the care and generosity of Earth’s embrace, surrounding me with safe air to breathe, fresh water to drink, food to eat, and abundant beauty to nourish my soul . . .

and I am grateful.

From this place of truth and Love, let us breath HOPE.

Mindful of our world leaders, religious leaders and corporations gathering to meet in Paris (Nov. 30—Dec.11) for the Global Climate Conference,

Let us breathe HOPE.

May they hear the cry of Earth, the cry of the poor, and our human cries to create a world of collaboration and safety on behalf of all life.

Let us breathe HOPE.

May those gathered for this Global Conference hear the cry of their own deepest hearts and the inner Wisdom and Sacred longings within our human hearts.

Let us breathe HOPE.

May each delegate, and each of us be opened to Truth, and recognize their and our power and responsibility to create together such a world . A world of justice, peace, and ecological integrity for all.

Let us breathe HOPE.

We are grateful for our Oneness–the ONENESS at the heart of all being. We are grateful for Love.

Let us breathe HOPE.
